Position Summary The Salvation Army Fargo Corps is doing the most good by providing holistic, person-centered services to individuals and families in need. In addition to worship services and pastoral care, services include short and long-term case management; food, clothing, utility, rent, and housing support; and connections to community partners. The Case Manager - Pathway of Hope (POH) is responsible for providing targeted services to participants with a desire to break the cycle of crisis and enable a path out of intergenerational poverty. The Case Manager recruits and provides a full range of case management services. Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Provide long-term strength-based, person-centered, holistic case management to POH families. (75%) Maintain up-to-date, accurate participant information in casefiles and through database entry. (10%) Recruit qualifying participants for POH and promote social services and corps programs with participants and throughout the community. (5%) Engage in internal and external activities to promote and further POH goals and objectives. (5%) Facilitate individual and group educational activities. (5%) Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Instead of a degree, education and experience may be considered. If the degree is in social work, must be licensed by the state board. Previous social services or ministry experience required. Experience conducting long-term case management preferred. Must pass background checks. Valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements preferred. Competencies Flexible interpersonal and communication skills. High level of honor in dealing with confidential information. Works with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment. Working Conditions Mostly sedentary work, sitting for long periods and working on a computer. Professional environment; eligible for a remote-friendly work environment. Must be able to communicate clearly in English. Standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends. Must be able to occasionally lift 20 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Driving/Travel Requirements May occasionally drive agency vehicle locally to support the mission if MVR check cleared. May be required to use public transportation to support the mission if unable to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army.
