Job Description The Learning and Development Manager plans, develops, implements, and administers development and training programs for company employees. The manager also acts as a liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitates initiatives across the organization. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable employee training solutions. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective teaching methods to enhance performance. Duties & Responsibilities Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company. Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans. Designs and develops HR training programs for management and employees. Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans. Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments. Support leaders with Succession and employee development plans Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance. Presents course materials. Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff. The Individual Education Requirements Required/Preferred Education Level Additional Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree A Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential is preferred. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred . Years of Experience Recommended Minimum Comments 5 or more years Minimum: Three years of training experience Five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs Technical Knowledge and Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Salary & Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from $50,617.00 - $151,851.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
