We are looking for an Associate Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team based in Richmond, Virginia! The Associate Portfolio Manager will support the investment team in all aspects of the portfolio-related process. Day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing client portfolios, monitoring the portfolio management mailbox and databases, and executing trading operations. This role includes involvement in various aspects of the wealth management process, including consultations with our wealth management advisors and their clients, thus providing ample opportunity for skill development and career advancement. This role will report to the Director of Portfolio Management.Responsibilities:Update and maintain client portfolios which includes the management of liquidity needs, client-specific restrictions, and overall positioning relative to client investment objectives as requested by Wealth Management AdvisorsPrepare regular exposure and risk reports, conduct portfolio reviews, rebalance portfolios, create proposals, and monitor investment model changes across multiple client accountsAssist with analyzing securities, account transitions, and managing cash flow activities, along with identifying risks and proposing solutionsUnderstand and apply economic and market trends and company-specific financial information to assist with the buying or selling of individual stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment vehiclesSupport the development of portfolio strategies to transition new and existing clients to Godsey & Gibb's investment strategyExecute daily, monthly, and annual trading operation processes including data integrity maintenance, reconciliation, and troubleshooting of trade settlement servicesResolve trade errors with custodians and internal teams to ensure best execution of trades requiring special handlingManage and monitor corporate action activities while keeping firm management informed of changesReconcile and maintain client investment records, including cost basis adjustments and application of appropriate corporate actionsCollaborate with various teams to optimize processes through workflow design and technologyPerform other related duties and projects as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in finance or related fieldMust have or obtain FINRA Series 65 license within 90 days of hire2+ years of experience in the financial services, investments, or portfolio management industriesLocation:Richmond, VA - This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (three days onsite, two days remote) once in-office training is complete and approved by position's manager.Work Authorization:Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
