Senior Cost Manager

To learn more about our purpose, culture, and priorities, visit our strategy site.Within our consult business we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project.The ProjectMace is seeking a full-time cost consultant for life science and manufacturing and technology projects to work directly with our clients on capital projects.Our Values Shape The Way We Consult, And Define The People We Want To Join Us On Our Journey, They AreSafety first - Going home safe and wellClient focus - Deliver on our promiseIntegrity - Always do the right thingCreate opportunity - for our people to excel.You'll Be Responsible ForServing as a client-facing cost consultant lead who assists with strategic, tactical, and technical terfacing with clients, external and internal consultants at all project stages.Conducting feasibility studies and production of procurement reports.Producing ROMs for new and pipeline projects for a project budget to be based on.Day-to-day cost management of medium-large scale client projects including procurement, pay requests, change management and cost reporting.Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project involving existing protocols and systems.Ensuring that the post contract cost variances, change control, cost checking and valuation processes are managed effectively.Ensuring the production of monthly post contract and cost reports and presenting them to the client.Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, evaluation, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.Providing value engineering and life cycle costing.Ongoing updating of benchmarking efforts as new projects are executed to provide real cost data to client.You'll Need To HaveRelevant degree (MS or MBA preferred). Demonstrated capital program leadership experience. Experience working on large complex and multi-phase life science and manufacturing and technology capital programs. Knowledge of multiple project delivery methods, including alternative project delivery (design build and construction manager at risk).Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
