AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS Job Details Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical / Telemetry Start: 10/21 or 11/4 - Bi-weekly orientation Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request) Shift Requirement: 12hr Weekend Days 6:30-7 Patient Population: Post cardiac procedure (heart cath, ablation, pacemaker), A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes/renal biopsy, behavioral health/detox Job Requirements Must have current active compact license AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class) Skillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), recover heart caths (femoral/TR bands), PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, drip management (cardiac-cardizem, amio, etc., other-heparin, lasix, protonix, etc.), CBI, detox/CIWA protocol experience, central line care Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills Schedule Information 36 to 48 hours per week Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every Weekend. Every other holiday Unit Specific Information Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): 34 beds.
