Tasks Support the VP by attending meetings, taking notes, identifying critical take-aways and ensuring appropriate follow up on key next steps Assist the VP in managing her schedule to ensure time is aligned to AAR and MTA goals and priorities, including coordinating with staff of other MTA executives as needed Ensure appropriate and timely review of documents requiring VP signature including HR actions, customer correspondence, tuition reimbursement requests, invoices, and State Controls reviews Work with divisions to prepare background and materials for VP meetings with other departments, MTA Board, riders, advocates, and community members Coordinate across Paratransit divisions to ensure department-wide initiatives such as annual training, time-tracking, employee nominations for awards and others are completed in a timely fashion and with engagement across the organization Ensure communications directed toward the VP, including mail and phone calls, are routed in a timely fashion to the appropriate group for response Conduct research and analysis for ad hoc projects that require input from multiple Paratransit departments Qualities Independent initiative and excellent time management skills Judgment and effectiveness working with colleagues at different levels of the organization Comfortable working in fast paced environment Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying timelines and levels of urgency, to ensure critical deadlines are met Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills Experience working on complex projects that require balancing operational, budgetary, and customer constraints Detailed knowledge of NYCT preferred Desired Skills •Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills. •Ability to utilize databases (PAIRS, ADEPT, Power BI, Tableau) and develop analytical reports that provide insights to the business units. •Familiarity with Paratransit operations. •Strong written communication skills. Compensation Associate Staff Analyst (OA - Represented by TWU): Min: $85,316 - Max: $110,468 Associate Staff Analyst (TA - Represented by OSA): Min: $83,098 - Max: $107,591 Staff Analyst: Staff Analyst II (OA): $75,475 - $84,060 Staff Analyst II (TA): $68,430 - $76,213 (New Hire Rate: $63,923) Staff Analyst I (OA): $65,003 - $76,955 Staff Analyst I (TA): $58,934 - $69,771 (New Hire Rate: $55,049) NOTE: TA employees must be permanent in the Staff Analyst and Associate Staff Analyst titles to be considered. Education and Experience Associate Staff Analyst 1. A Master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field, and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management or in a related area; or 2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three (3) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in 1 above. 3.An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and five years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above: or 4 . A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and seven years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above; or 5. A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", "3", or "4" above. College education may be substituted for professional experience at the rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university. For one year of experience. However, all candidates must have a high school. Special Note : To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, one additional year of professional experience as described in "2" above. Staff Analyst I & Staff Analyst II 1. A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies, or a closely related field; or 2.
