We have been retained to help a client in Charlotte, North Carolina - fill a Mechanical Engineer role. This is an exciting opportunity to lead CapEx projects such as new equipment installs and adding automation to the existing machinery. If you enjoy the challenges of improving the production process and keeping equipment running, are creative in problem-solving, and recognize that each day brings a new and different opportunity, then this position is for you!ResponsibilitiesDuties:Create, update, and maintain all CAD drawings and filesGenerate 3D Models in SolidWorksDevelop, document, and maintain project tasks and schedules to ensure they are on-time and within budgetInvestigate improvements, optimization, and cost reduction opportunities in the manufacturing processValidate all new equipment installations and upgradesContinuous Improvement projects - Identify capital equipment needs, create justifications, and create CER proposalsValue Stream AnalysisLead Kaizen EventsLearn, coach, and mentor on continuous improvement and LEAN processesLearn, coach, and mentor on equipment maintenance and operationsEnsure equipment, processes, tooling, and fixtures are able to meet all quality, capability, and safety requirementsActively participate in plant safety and environmental initiatives, and maintain a safe working environmentAssist maintenance teams with troubleshooting and problem-solvingExperience Education:BS degree EngineeringWork experience: 5 to 10 yearsExperience in mechanics, equipment, metal forming, and finishing processesExperience in manufacturing equipment procurement and installationKnowledge of Lean tools and applications3D Modeling experience required*Competitive compensation + up to 10% bonus profit sharing + 401K with 5% match
