Suntex Marinas is seeking a Junior Network Infrastructure Engineer to provide on-sitefield network infrastructure implementation and support for our growing portfolio of world-class marinas across the US. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of experienced network and infrastructure engineers to design and implement systems and infrastructures based on industry standards, ensuring that projects are delivered with the highest quality. This role reports to the Network and Infrastructure Lead. 50% travel is required, primarily across the US with a heavy concentration expected in AZ and CA. The Junior Network Infrastructure Engineer has the duty to identify and understand a project's needs, streamline project requirements, produce drafts, and ensure project quality. This role supports the transitions of new marinas to the Suntex Standards as well as IT-related projects at existing marinas. This role is also responsible for helping resolve onsite technical incidents with the core network (Cisco Meraki) and security stack, wi-fi, cameras, computer systems, including software, hardware, Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and other IT related incidents, is skilled in installing, configuring, and maintaining these systems, and supporting customers through the resolution of support incidents. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with the team to design and implement network and infrastructure systems, including hardware, software, and applications.Assist in the maintenance of systems, network, hardware, applications, and corporate voice and data infrastructure.Support and maintain client networks, including circuit connectivity, segmentation, VLANs, management of firewalls, connected devices, and VOIP (Office@Hand) phone systems.Assist in the planning and implementation of systems and network integrations for new clients.Support projects and other activities, including installation, upgrades, and system updates.Assist in the resolution of onsite technical incidents with the core network (Cisco Meraki) and security stack, Wi-Fi, cameras, computer systems, including software, hardware, Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and other IT-related incidents.Follow standard procedures in maintaining and resolving issues, including frequent communication on progress or resolution of issues.QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS:A degree in a related IT field, and or minimum of 5 years performing network related work in a professional environment.Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve systems and network issues at client sites.Excellent customer-facing people skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.Requires knowledge and experience with Cisco Meraki; Ubiquiti or any SD-WAN platform of network devices. Understanding network devices and systems, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, switches, access points, cameras, cellular gateways, and wireless backhaul devices. Preferred experience with scheduling and coordinating regional low voltage, fiber, and physical infrastructure vendors to install cabling, network components, poles, satellite dishes and other infrastructure components.Knowledge of PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards and certification process is a plus.Proficient, detailed, and consistent in network documentation and diagramming.Ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations.Ability to communicate and report incidents and issues to a team.Ability to manage tasks of concurrent projects at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of property staff and leadership.Work experience as a network engineeradministrator andor field services engineerExperience in maintaining and troubleshooting networks, integrated systems, and desktop hardware.Experience working in an IT-ticketing environment. WORKING CONDITIONSPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This is a hybrid position, with a minimum 3 days a week at the home office (Dallas, TX).Expect to be traveling approximately 50%, primarily in western US.Expect to be mostly working outside when on-site at marinas.Frequent lifting, climbing ladder, and moving of objects upwards to 50 pounds.Have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
