As our Director of Communications, you'll use communications cleverly to help us grow; here's how:What You'll DoDrive direct customer acquisition through earned mediaEstablish Mothership as a thought leader on current events in logistics by inserting us early and with meaningful content to the audienceCreate narratives around new technologies Mothership is working on that are far ahead of the industryPartner with customers and legacy providers to create and promote use cases and collaborationResearch and arrange tradeshow attendance including talks, firesides, product demos and media meetingsWork with marketing to draw up press releases on new products, features and services then make sure they get coverageResearch and arrange podcast and other media appearances for executives and product leaders in the companyQualifications5 years in external comms with an emphasis on using it for company growthA portfolio that is quantifiably responsible for growth at each companyTrack record of building, maintaining, and leveraging a large number of media relationships at top outletsExceptional project management and presentation skills Desire to be on a purely merit-based team, not a family, with no politics and big aspirationsNaturally a self-motivated, self-managed, nights and weekends kind of work personalityBachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or English is preferred, but your work portfolio is what's most important; results over education
