For more information see: About The Role Under general supervision, the Senior Staff DevSecOps Engineer develops and manages core highly available infrastructure and security services, including Microsoft 365, AWS, cloud storage platforms, network and security platforms, and identity services. The ideal candidate will work well in a strong team environment and have a strong sense of ownership and commitment. Key Responsibilities: Drive implementation and management of scalable cloud infrastructure and security solutions across AWS and Microsoft 365 Coordinate development and management of continuous delivery systems and methodology including integration of GitHub, automated testing, and deployment services with a focus on automation and vulnerability management Develop automation capabilities using tools such as Workato, Power Automate, PowerShell, and JavaScript. Assist in creating frontend interfaces using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. Create Observability solutions to proactively monitor systems and services technical performance Deliver and manage cyber security capabilities including: Create, execute, and maintain the security controls environment in alignment with organizational goals Manage identity platforms across Okta and Etnra ID incorporating zero trust principles Implement asset (systems and data) protection solutions across multiple partners including access privileges, control structures and technologies Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security events Conduct periodic audit to identify control deficiencies and potential violations Execute vulnerability management program based on risk to company assets Develop and report metrics focused on security control efficacy Design and deploy best practices regarding system monitoring, change control, service level agreements, and lead/assist in the creation of the company's infrastructure policies and standards Act as backup for primary on-site support personnel and provide after hours on call support as needed Provide input to and execute roadmap for continuous improvement, version upgrade, periodic maintenance, and ensuring operational health of systems Analyze and resolve problems associated with technical issues, and recommend solutions Comply with quality system regulations, standards and procedures Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field Minimum 10 years cloud infrastructure and/or DevOps experience Minimum 5 years cyber security experience Experience managing and implementing file collaboration platforms including SharePoint and Egnyte Experience with Data Compliance platforms such as Microsoft Purview Experience and expertise with AWS technologies; experience delivering new projects and capabilities, in addition to providing operational maintenance. Demonstrable knowledge setting up, configuring and maintaining Office 365, Okta, Azure Entra ID, AWS. Demonstrable knowledge designing, configuring and setting up automation and monitoring systems Life Sciences industry experience Additional Qualifications: Experience delivering new projects and capabilities, while providing operational maintenance. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple problems and issues with minimal supervision, excellent organizational skills, a teamwork approach to work but also act independently to solve problems when necessary. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in South San Francisco, CA is $175,000 - $200,000. Individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including, and without limitation, job-related skills, experience, work location and relevant education or training.
