Position Title: Director of Operations Location: St. Basil the Great 2330 Kimberton Road Phoenixville, PA 19460 Position Type: Full-Time Reports To: Pastor/Parochial Administrator Job Summary: The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This role involves strategic planning, improving operational systems, processes, and policies, and managing a team of department heads to achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of managing operations in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with the pastor to set and achieve short and long-term organizational goals. Monitor and analyze operational performance and recommend improvements. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of department heads, ensuring alignment with company goals. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities. Financial Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Monitor financial performance, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement corrective actions. Oversee procurement and supply chain management to optimize resource utilization. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and increase productivity. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices. Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and operational enhancements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with administrative staff members, heads of parish organizations, and coordinators of volunteer organizations to ensure cohesive and efficient operations. Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to achieve organizational objectives. Act as a liaison between administrative staff and operational staff. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity. Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance. Ensure the security of company assets and data. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Proven experience in a senior operational role, preferably in a similar industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficient in using operational software and tools. Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Primarily office-based with some travel required to various company locations. May involve extended hours and occasional weekends to meet project deadlines.
