Description The Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation (PHDC), a non-profit organization funded primarily by the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is looking for a Director of Accounting to join its Finance Department. Under general direction, the Director of Accounting is responsible for professional accounting work in the receipt, custody, and disbursement of funds; supervises insurance and property control, investment of funds, and review of performance bonds; and does related work as required. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training and Experience: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, and Eight years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including three years in a supervisory capacity, or An equivalent combination of training and experience. MBA or CPA preferred
