The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Overview: As the Vice President of Actuarial Capabilities and Business Insight, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage a team of actuarial and business analysis professionals. Youll collaborate within the Group Insurance actuarial function as well as across Group Insurance Finance and Operational areas. In the role, design and development of a future-focused data and reporting infrastructure will be foundational to delivering high quality reporting and leading business insights. This leader will stay abreast with the latest technological developments in our sector, will understand the impact of data and analytics on actuarial and business practices, and should be able to leverage these trends to maximize business performance. Key Responsibilities: Analytical and Reporting Framework: Oversee the development of accurate and reliable data sources, metrics and reporting. Financial Insights: Act as an advisor to the Group Insurance leadership, providing financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making. Data strategy: The Lead is expected to ensure we are fully utilizing and managing our data in an effective manner, maximizing our business performance. Modernization of actuarial processes: understand the impact of modern tools and techniques and lead development to bring efficiency and quality through technology. Leading actuarial projects: The Lead will provide technical leadership on complex projects relating to our actuarial process while working in a cross-functional environment. Data Science Collaboration: work closely with our Data Science and Actuarial teams for the execution of advanced analytics strategy, fostering business relevant model development and management. Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in actuarial science. Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of actuarial and other staff fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. What youll need: Bachelors or Masters degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications such as FSA or ASA. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities. Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $122,500.00 to $165,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
