(Depending on experience) Quality Manager Summary Objectives The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) and driving quality performance across the supply chain and production environments. This role includes participation in design reviews, engineering releases, and quality technology deployment. The Quality Manager compiles, analyzes, and reports on quality data, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain high-quality standards. Additionally, the Manager facilitates project teams, drives continuous improvements to the QMS, and serves as the organization's ISO representative. In collaboration with purchasing, engineering, and production teams, the Manager establishes quality standards and requirements for suppliers while advising senior leadership on strategic and tactical quality initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Qualify suppliers through on-site surveys and research and conduct periodic supplier audits. Facilitate the supplier rating system, communicate quality performance, and drive improvement initiatives. Represent Quality in the Management Review Board, leading investigations, and corrective actions. Oversee first article inspections (FAI) and ensure timely follow-up activities. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and other teams to address issues related to supplied products. Develop and maintain inspection and measurement systems, including procedure development, specification interpretation, and statistical sampling. Provide guidance to senior leadership on changes affecting the quality management system. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in electronic, software, and mechanical technology. 5+ years' experience as a Quality/Research/Manufacturing Engineer Understanding of ISO9001 and other industry standards associated with quality program requirements working with internal auditors and ISO lead auditors. Familiar with SQC, SPC, FMEA, DOE, process flow charting, risk analysis, and other related Quality technologies. Knowledge of metal fabrication methods, HMI systems, mechanical drive systems, and mechanical/electrical control systems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently and across all levels of the organization, including suppliers to meet time sensitive deadlines. Experience with LEAN manufacturing and leading improvement teams. Familiar with capital equipment manufacturing practices. Proficiency in blueprint reading and/or drawing standards. Working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft D365 preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products, Visio, Minitab or similar SPC software.
