The Role: Our site in Decatur, TX is seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to drive the successful scaleup of products/processes from Development to Manufacturing utilizing a Stage Gate Process. You will use your skills/experience to influence product design teams to improve design for manufacturability, while ensuring the highest levels of quality. Achieving this goal will require the use of collaboration, influence, and individual skills to interface with all functions across the organization. You will help drive and execute improvements/solutions to help the team meet stage gate commitments. As part of Entegris' Operations team, the NPI Engineer will work closely with the Production cell team to ensure Manufacturing Readiness of the new product portfolio. You will engage with the Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, and Operators to drive the successful transition of products from early development to product release. With the fast pace of innovations in semiconductors, you will look forward to managing multiple projects across the product portfolio. We expect that you'll collaborate, share and be ready to learn in a team that partners closely with its customers. The position is within the Entegris Graphite manufacturing Business focusing on custom Graphite machining and special processing (impregnation, conversion and coatings). This position reports to the Site Engineering Manager What You'll Do: Serve as a core team member for assigned NPI Projects as the liaison between Development Engineering and Operations, pulling products to market. Work closely with Development Engineering to proactively influence product and process design for better manufacturability. Develop Manufacturing Plans for assigned projects. Topics include selection of manufacturing site, raw and finished goods material planning, chemical/waste plan, ramp/capacity planning, cost roadmap, etc. Drive Improvement Projects (yield, process capability, etc.) to maximize Gross Margin and Predictability. Prepare Process Documentation to support Product Launch. Manage customer samples and Product Qualification builds. Work with Operations team and provide special instructions as required. Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures. Assists with analyses and audits processes to make recommendations on such items as safety, quality, cost, waste reductions, and efficiency. Outstanding Candidates Will Have: Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline i.e. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Material Science preferred. Must have 4-6 years related experience Be a great teammate, learn from the depth of experience your teammates provide, and desire to share your own ideas and experiences. Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills. Must have ability to reach out, communicate and influence personnel at all levels within the organization. Excellent documentation, communication, and technical writing skills. Experience with analytical testing. Experience with chemical processing, poly film/membrane manufacturing and/or material surface modication is a plus. Strong technical skills to help improve processes Ability to orchestrate and prioritize multiple activities at once to accomplish Division goals. Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Manufacturing projects and implementation. Experience with powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment preferred.
