Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director/product manager to join our team and be responsible for profit and loss, market share and strategic growth of the Bobrick brand of toilet partitions and cubicles. You will lead the strategic direction of our product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and business goals. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in product management, strategy formation, and cross-functional collaboration who thrives in fast-paced environments and is keen on driving product innovation and market growth. This role requires the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and work across departments. To be successful, the Business Unit Director must translate the needs of the "customer decision-makers" -- a category that includes building owners, facility managers, architects, designers, general contractors, and installing sub-contractors - to internal resources, which include design engineering, manufacturing, operations, sales and marketing. Job Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Product Development: Author annual business plans and update 5 and 10 year plans for business unit. Conduct in depth analysis of market, manufacturing, and financial trends as part of cross-functional teams. Develop and implement comprehensive product strategies that align with the company's strategic goals and market insights. Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities and threats. Collaborate with executive leadership to define product vision, goals, and roadmaps. Scope and prioritize product development activities based on business and customer impact and by preparing strategic (competitive) impact, and financial analysis (e.g. NPV, ROI, IRR) of new products and Marketing Initiatives. Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Provide guidance and support to project managers on all aspects of a successful product line throughout its lifecycle. Establish and manage product line profitability and make strategic recommendations to mitigate. Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives. Communicate product strategy, priorities, and progress to stakeholders across the organization. Maintain up to date knowledge of the competition, including pricing, product offering, and marketing strategies. Sales, Marketing and Customer Support: Collaborate with sales and marketing to drive effective go-to-market strategies ensuring successful product launches and adoption. Develop compelling marketing plans and strategies that employ marketing rubric best practices, i.e. Product, Pricing, Placement and Promotion. Oversee development of product training, sales tools, and marketing collateral to support the sales. Collaborate with Marketing Communications and outside advertising agency to develop compelling product messaging, positioning, and marketing campaigns. Oversee the production of marketing assets including catalogs, advertising, price lists, digital marketing and sales samples. Establish quality and customer satisfaction KPI's for the category and effectively work cross functionally to ensure metrics are met. Create mitigation plans to correct as needed. Market and Customer Insights: Develop a deep customer understanding across the entire value chain delivery model related to Toilet Partitions, to include market and competitive trends. Utilize data-driven insights to refine product strategies and improve product-market fit. Gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and industry best practices to inform product decisions. Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points. Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities within the partitions business and take corrective action when results do not meet plan. Communicate category performance, key findings, and actionable insights to the executive team. Represent the company by visiting Building owners/Facility Managers, Architects/Designers and Distributors to solicit feedback on company products and service requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, MBA strongly preferred. A minimum of 8+ years' work experience in product management or strategy roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position, preferably in the commercial building products industry. Strategy consultants with a minimum of three years of experience would also be considered. Proven track record of developing and executing successful product/service strategies and launches in a fast-paced environment Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills. Deep understanding of marketing strategies and customer behavior. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Expertise in product strategy development and product road mapping tools. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
