Summary Supervises the overall functions of warehouse, such as shipping and receiving, inventory control, issue materials, put away materials and track in ERP system. Essential Functions (mental & physical) Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution Supervise inventory control Supervise shipping and receiving Supervise material issue and put Complies with Sterling Foods food safety procedures, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for Achieves financial objectives by assisting in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective Non-Essential Functions Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results Enforce policies & Supervisory Responsibility Seven (10) direct Maintains warehouse results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job Equipment Used Forklift Pallet jack Other warehouse equipment as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent College or technical school (preferred) At least 3 years of warehouse experience to include supervisory experience Employee Safety Employees are encouraged to take an active role in improving our operations and communicate any unsafe work practices or safety hazards encountered on the job.
