Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Contracts Job Code: 15373 Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Description: Professional with practical knowledge of contracts. Supports larger, moderately complex contracts of substantial importance to the organization with moderate oversight or direction. Communicate within and outside of the organization to explain and interpret operational processes, practices and approaches. Make basic adjustments in processes, systems, or products. Provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results. Essential Functions: • Responsible for RFP review and risk assessment, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned contracts/programs • Serves as the primary communication conduit between L3Harris and the respective customers • Provides a proactive voice in the business process • Provides proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications • Analyzes material estimates, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness • Prepares bids and proposals • Prepares and conducts negotiations • Processes specifications, progress report, and other reports • Ability to think critically, problem solve and work independently • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a team environment • Ability to multi-task and determine priorities while working on multiple assignments • Dedication to meet customer deadlines • Ability to negotiate contract terms and conditions with commercial and US Government customers • Conducts change management process with internal team and communicate equitable adjustment rights to customers • Utilizes contract sales order system to record contract awards and modifications • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations • Compiles and analyzes data as required Maintains historical information for assigned contracts • Ability to clearly present information to broad audience, inclusive of management Qualifications: • BA/BS in a business or related field and 6+ Years' relevant experience • Experience with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, CAS • Experience with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Required Preferred Additional Skills: • Negotiation experience • Demonstrated business acumen/finance experience • Demonstrated ability to build relationships • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must • NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc) are a strong plus In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $76,500 - $142,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
