Clayton Services is searching for a Controller to join a thriving company in Pasadena, Texas. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring the company's financial integrity and compliance by preparing financial reports, maintaining records, and driving performance improvement. Job Type: Direct-Hire Pay Rate: $110,000 - $135,000/annually Controller Responsibilities: Produce accurate and timely financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually to provide critical insights into the company's financial health. Adhere to legal guidelines and accounting principles and stay up-to-date with regulations pertinent to the trucking industry. Implement data-driven performance improvement initiatives, seeking opportunities to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, offering financial insights and recommendations. Lead financial projects and deliver results promptly, showcasing strong project management skills. Work with the financial team to develop and uphold internal controls and policies that protect the company's financial assets. Maintain organized and precise financial records, establishing systematic processes for efficient financial operations. Identify and address discrepancies in financial records proactively to ensure ongoing financial accuracy. Controller Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Project management skills and the ability to deliver results in a dynamic, high-paced environment. Proficient in Excel and accounting software. Controller Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
