Assistant Controller Fire Safety and Protection is seeking an experienced Corporate Assistant Controller to become an important part of a rapidly growing team based in Atlanta, GA. The Corporate Assistant Controller assists the Controller in financial and risk management operations to maximize office and stakeholder resources. The Corporate Assistant Controller will maintain accounting controls and provide accurate financial information to management and stakeholders to facilitate decision making. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and review financial transactions and activities. Continuous process improvement along with utilization of turnkey accounting tools to facilitate modernization of finance. Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations and financial reports and statements to ensure compliance with various statutory requirements, generally accepted accounting principles, and established policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, projects, inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data. Maintain accounting controls and audit documents. Prepare journal entries and maintain and reconcile accounts. Assist in the preparation of various special reports as directed. Assist with external audit requests and provide information as requested. Participate in special projects, team training, and development. Assist in the processing of accounts payable and review proper accounting treatment for all transactions. Provide technical accounting support to various departments. Assist with the development, review, and updating of accounting policies, procedures, checklists, and related documentation. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required. Qualifications College Education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience, in the service industry preferred. CPA or MBA required. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint. Experience with NetSuite, Vista or other similar multi-entity integrated accounting software. Knowledge of the full accounting cycle. Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas. Well organized, proactive, must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment. Minimal Travel. Live within Atlanta, GA or Greater Atlanta. Ability to adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all proprietary business, financial, and employee matters. Excellent understanding of English, both written and verbal required; ability to communicate in a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous manner with employees, clients, vendors, business contacts. Ability to adhere to a high level of attention to detail. Ability to maintain open, direct, positive, and objective lines of communication with management. Ability to be self-directed in a team-oriented environment.
