Job Description Summary: This position coordinates and provides programming for the OhioHealth Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio (SARNCO), which includes: sexual violence intervention and prevention education, and outreach programs locally in central Ohio, and statewide. This position also participates in recruitment, screening, training, support, and retention efforts with SARNCO volunteer and contractor advocates. The Program Coordinator oversees intervention and prevention schedules, reviews advocate documentation and participates in efforts to improve quality of services, and provides some of the program's services. The Program Coordinator keeps documentation on services provided and assists with reporting for government grantors. SARNCO has several Program Coordinator positions, each with a specific program focus including but not limited to: Coordinating the daily operations of Hospital and 24-Hour Rape Helpline Advocacy programs Providing and coordinating sexual assault prevention education to teens, college students, advocates, and the local community, facilitating prevention efforts at all 6 levels of prevention Facilitating the Central Ohio Sexual Assault Task Force Coordinating volunteer advocate training sessions and in-services Providing and coordinating sexual violence intervention training Coordinating outreach and awareness-raising activities in the community Facilitating the Sexual Violence Prevention Advisory Committee Providing and coordinating SARNCOs ongoing support and advocacy to survivors whose needs go beyond that which can be addressed in the emergency departments or via calls to the Helpline Providing and coordinating coverage for the statewide 24-hour hotline Coordinating at least one aspect of the daily operations of the statewide 24-hour hotline including outreach, training and resources, and advocate support Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Required) This position also provides direct service advocacy and programming for the OhioHealth Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio (SARNCO), which includes working with English and Non-English Spanish speaking survivors who may require long term support and/or are identified as having non-clinical barriers to engaging in the community and recommendations. The goal of the Aftercare Coordinator/Advocate is to work with multidisciplinary teams to identify barriers to care and coordinate support services and community-based resources to address those barriers with the survivor. In addition, this position provides individual consultation and follow up based needs, lack of resources such as housing and relocation, coordinates support including court accompaniment, law enforcement interviews, follow-up medical care, safety planning, and more based on the needs of the survivor.
