Job Description: Die Cast Maintenance Manager Position Title: Die Cast Maintenance Manager Location: South Beloit, Illinois Company: Top Die Casting Reports To: Plant Manager Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Die Cast Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our die casting equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, a deep understanding of die casting processes, and excellent leadership skills to drive a team of technicians. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Conduct regular performance evaluations and training programs to enhance team skills and safety awareness. Build maintenance teams for 1st and 2nd shift. Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for die casting machinery and equipment. Establish preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. Equipment Management: Oversee the inspection, repair, and modification of die casting machines and related equipment. Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety and quality standards. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner. Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Budget Management: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Coordinate with procurement for parts and supplies, maintaining inventory levels as necessary. Collaboration: Work closely with production managers to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to production. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to implement improvements and upgrades. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance practices adhere to company safety policies and regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement among the maintenance team. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred). Experience: 5+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, specifically die casting. Proven experience in team leadership and project management. Skills: Strong knowledge of die casting processes and machinery. Proficiency in predictive and preventive maintenance techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong knowledge of PLC's and automated equipment. Technical Skills: Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools. Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Certifications: Relevant certifications in maintenance management (e.g., Certified Maintenance Manager) are a plus. Working Conditions: May require extended hours or weekend work during peak production times.
