The Opportunity Description We're looking for an IT Asset Specialist , working in IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in New York, New York, United States . Direct and implement software related supplier-sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery, and cost competitiveness. Document results with implementing standard procurement best practices, build strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers, and consult on procurement best practices for cross-functional project teams. Utilize RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select, and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage. Implement proactive procurement philosophies, strategies, policies, procedures, and systems. Our Client Experience Required for Your Success Experience procuring tech sourcing items (software, telecom, hardware, etc.) for a large Fortune 500 company Experience with negotiating contracts for the licensing of software; both SaaS and conventional Software procurement experience Ability to build and implement effective negotiation strategies, with a strong focus on cost savings and cost avoidance Self-starter who is proactive in asking questions and driving results Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with suppliers and executive stakeholders Team player who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional partners Familiarity with software negotiation strategies and the software supplier landscape Experience with PR/PO (Purchase Request/Purchase Order) creation process Proficiency in using contract management tools What Do You Think?
