Job Description ` Position Overview HerMD is seeking a skilled and compassionate anesthesiologist to join our team for in-office gynecology procedures at our clinic in Millburn, NJ! As a physician-founded practice, we understand the challenges medical providers experience daily. Responsibilities As an anesthesiologist, your role is pivotal in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and optimal surgical outcomes during various gynecological procedures, including colposcopies, vulvar biopsies, endometrial biopsies, Endosee hysteroscopies, LEEPs, Vaginal Botox, ablations, Myosures, Novasures, Dilation and Curettage (D&C), and Sonata procedures. Preoperative Assessment Conduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations to assess the suitability of patients for anesthesia, identify potential risks, and develop tailored anesthesia plans Anesthesia Administration Administer anesthesia, including sedation and pain management techniques, customized to each patient's specific needs and procedure requirements Patient Monitoring Continuously monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring vital signs and oxygenation levels remain within safe limits. Respond promptly to changes or complications Medication Management Administer medications, maintain accurate records of drug administration, and ensure patient comfort during and after procedures Airway Management Skillfully manage patients' airway and ventilation while minimizing risks and complications Emergency Preparedness Be prepared to respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies during procedures Collaboration and Communication Collaborate closely with gynecologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient management. Documentation Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, anesthesia plans, intraoperative management, and post-procedure recovery, following legal and ethical guidelines Quality Assurance Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesia techniques and patient safety standards within gynecology and women's healthcare Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care and outcomes About HerMD The care that patients deserve is here. Requirements Qualifications Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school Board-certified in Anesthesiology Valid medical license to practice medicine in New Jersey Experience in providing anesthesia for gynecological procedures, particularly in an office-based setting In-depth knowledge of anesthesia techniques, pharmacology, patient monitoring, airway management, and emergency response Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Patient-centric approach, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to professional and ethical standards
