We are seeking a skilled Probate Paralegal to join our client's legal team and assist attorneys in managing probate and estate administration matters. The Probate Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation of legal documents, client communications, and administrative tasks related to probate cases. Responsibilities: Client Interaction and Communication: Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress. Assist clients in completing necessary forms and documentation for probate proceedings. Document Preparation and Management: Draft and prepare probate forms, petitions, notices, and other legal documents. Compile and organize documentation related to estates, including wills, trusts, and asset inventories. File documents with probate court and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines. Estate Administration Support: Assist in the administration of estates under the supervision of attorneys. Coordinate asset transfers, including real estate, bank accounts, and personal property. Maintain accurate records of estate transactions and distributions. Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct research on probate laws, regulations, and procedures. Analyze legal issues related to probate matters and prepare summaries for attorney review. Case Management and Support: Manage calendars, schedules, and appointments for attorneys. Coordinate meetings, depositions, and court appearances as needed. Assist in the preparation for hearings and trials, including organizing exhibits and witness coordination. Administrative Tasks: Handle billing and timekeeping tasks related to probate cases. Maintain confidentiality of client information and sensitive legal matters. Qualifications: Prior experience as a paralegal, preferably in probate and estate administration. Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Knowledge of probate court procedures and rules. Experience with electronic filing systems and document management software. Familiarity with estate planning concepts and terminology.
