JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Controller's Office at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a Financial Manager. This position supports the administrative area for the College of Medicine (COM) which is comprised of 8 business areas and approximately 65 Departments/Centers/Institutes and manages the College of Medicine Payroll/Effort allocation to Simba (SAP) for all accounts while maintaining prudent fiscal controls through adherence to University policies and procedures. Additionally, this position will also be responsible for effort reporting critical to operations of the College of Medicine which is used by COM leadership and department administrators. This position also collaborates with central offices within the COM and the University, including Human Resources, Payroll and Research Accounting teams, Penn State Health as well as auditors. The selected candidate must be able to analyze, compile, reconcile, prepare and input reports using multiple systems. As well as the ability to counsel and resolve complex issues regarding payroll, position budgets, policy and procedures while providing exceptional customer service.
