Position Purpose This position is responsible for the coordination, reporting, compliance, and integrity of annual financial gifts and grants totaling $3 million+ on behalf of Advancement and The Evergreen State College Foundation. The incumbent collaborates with senior leaders in Advancement, donors, alumni, friends, volunteers, Advancement staff, and units across campus employing industry best practices in utilizing gifts processing and reporting in order to advance the mission of the College and increase external support for Evergreen. Nature and Scope This position reports to the Advancement Finance Manager and works under general direction. This position has significant responsibilities in the management of financial transaction data plus the creation and deployment of fiscal and budget policies to ensure all traditional and non-traditional cash gifts, stock donations, gifts in kind, deferred gifts, and pledges, which currently account for over $3MM, are accurately recorded in the Advancement database, that revenues are transferred to the Business Office, that appropriate budgets for scholarships and discretionary spending are developed and distributed, that donors are receipted and acknowledged for their contributions, and that appropriate reporting on these transactions are developed and distributed. Essential Functions Process and verify pledges, cash gifts, payroll deductions, recurring donation, and gifts in kind given to the Foundation in accordance with Foundation and College policies, Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) standards, and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations. Record gift and other revenue transactions in the Raiser's Edge database; specific duties in Raiser's Edge include entry of gift data, retrieval of donor and gift data, generating reports, maintaining online giving platforms and processing online transactions, and completing processes to feed financial data to Banner Finance and produce receipts. Perform reconciliations on information related to gift data, transactions reports, and other fiscal transactions using electronic systems, such as Raiser's Edge, Banner, Greater Giving, and Blackbaud Merchant Services. Prepare, audit, verify, and process cash deposits. Prepare and send receipts and acknowledgement letters to donors, as well as "donor advised fund," "in honor," and "in memory" letters. Prepare and distribute recurring and ad hoc gift and pledge reports using Raiser's Edge and Raiser's Edge NXT. Maintain fiscal accounts and records using independent judgment in interpreting and applying IRS, foundation, and college rules and procedures;
