Position Summary: Assists in the management of all aspects and functions of the property in accordance with BRIO/BRAVO standards of excellence. Provides assistance to the General Manager with all Guest service, passion for the brand, family communication, development of authentic talent, operational standards of excellence, and decision-making and for the entire location. Directs, implements and maintains a philosophy congruent with BRIO/BRAVO's culture, which services as a guide to all staff members. Requirements: Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Strives to create an operation that values BRIO/BRAVO's standards of Guest Service. Ensures that every point of contact with the Guest meets or exceeds expectations and creates a lasting impression to drive repeat business. •Creates and contributes to a high-energy environment that promotes maximum engagement and enjoyment for the Family and the Guest. •Communicates in an impactful and meaningful way with management and family members and fosters an open and respectful work environment. •Develops talented and committed family members and staff. •Models and executes BRIO/BRAVO practices throughout the entire operation creating a high-energy environment for the family and guests alike. •Demonstrates competence and confidence in making sound effective decisions that benefit the guest and family. •Gathers and utilizes appropriate information and takes urgent action in correcting problems and concerns. •Ensures prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines. •Devises and executes comprehensive plans, stays updated on all aspects of the operation, and models effective stress management techniques. Leads by example and sets others up for success in running the operation smoothly and effectively. •Facilitates a professional and ethical manner that is beyond reproach. •Directly responsible for maximizing the respective locations' sales and profits. •Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and procedures and service standards. •Ensure proper documentation for all accidents and incidents per BRIO/BRAVO policies and procedures. •Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation methods, cooking standards, ingredients, portion sizes, garnishes, presentations, and prices. •Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor inventories available. •Ensure that shift changeovers go smoothly by communicating all necessary information to oncoming managers and staff. Memorable Guest Service: •Engages the guest at every opportunity while providing them with a personalized and memorable experience. •Actively and sincerely connects with the guests by inquiring about their dining experience at table visits. •Recognizes unique guest needs and customizes approach in response in order to achieve positive results and resolutions to problems. •Accurately reads and anticipates the guest's concerns and needs. •Resolves difficult guest situations with confidence and a positive, professional attitude. •Models BRIO/BRAVO standards for memorable guest service and emphasizes the importance of these standards to the family. •Responds promptly and thoroughly to guest comments and feedback and shares this input openly with the family. •Provides feedback to all managers and family members around opportunities to improve guest service and promptly recognizes excellent service behaviors. Passion for the Brand: •Enthusiastically promotes BRIO/BRAVO brand inside and outside of the facility. •Motivates the family to focus their energy on impressing and satisfying the guest •Communicates appreciation to the guest for their continued patronage. •Sets an example for the family by displaying a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the shift. •Proactively searches for methods to improve the guests' dining experience. •Acts as a representative for BRIO/BRAVO in all interactions in order to generate new business opportunities and relationships. •Creates opportunities to make BRIO/BRAVO a visible and positive presence in the community. Secondary Job Functions: •Maintain complete knowledge of preventative maintenance policies and procedures. •Facilitate and maintain a complete knowledge of computer systems and BRIO/BRAVO policies and procedures. •Ensure the receipt of the product ensuring company standards and invoice accuracy. •Corrects unsafe practices or conditions. •Promptly and properly completes all daily paperwork and assignments. •Interview applicants in accordance with all EEO guidelines and regulations. •Ensure all staff closing duties are completed before an employee leaves. •Complete and maintain location files. •Monitor guest situations and if necessary document the incident. •Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Additional Info: Position Requirements: (Education, Knowledge, Training, Experience, Licenses, Certifications) Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or two to five years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, guests, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: ServSafe certified. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory employees that report to it.
