Duties Founded in 1917, Wilder Research (WR) operates as an independent research unit of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation. It helps communities thrive by turning information into impact. Through research and evaluation services, consulting, and training, Wilder Research works with nonprofits, community leaders, government agencies, foundations, and policymakers to measure and improve their effectiveness, identify needs and solutions, make data-informed decisions and drive action to improve lives and communities. Wilder Research seeks a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager to provide coordination and leadership to Wilder Research s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. This role will collaborate with WR staff to build and manage a strategy to improve and integrate DEI efforts into our department s functioning. While DEI work is everyone s responsibility, this role will coordinate efforts and help facilitate moving the work forward. This position will coordinate and/or oversee efforts Wilder Research is taking to infuse DEI principles across all staff, policies, and practices. This will include centering DEI principles in: contributing to process and continuous improvement efforts; participating in management meetings and decision-making; consulting with, mentoring, and coaching staff department-wide to build capacity; improving hiring and promotion practices; and consulting on research projects. In addition, this role will require a high level of collaboration, including with the following groups: WR leaders and staff to identify challenges, opportunities, and recommendations; WR communications staff to create a plan for internal and external communication about our DEI goals and efforts to build buy-in; the broader Wilder Foundation DEI Manager; external committees or task forces; the Wilder Research DEI workgroup, a group of staff focused on building and addressing our DEI vision and approaches; and the WR Community Engagement and Partnership Manager to align strategic and operational efforts. The position will also involve creating meaningful approaches to measure our efforts and ensure departmental accountability. In addition to this internal evaluative focus, we also anticipate this role will spend about 20% of their time conducting direct research with fellow team members and community partners. When you work at Wilder, you will join a diverse community of passionate individuals who are committed to the Wilder mission and dedicated to serving whole families. Wilder's workplace diversity strengthens our mission and contributes to our vision of individuals and families thriving in St. Paul and beyond. We offer a dynamic Total Rewards package, which includes competitive compensation and benefits health, dental, employer-matched 401(k), PTO, paid family, medical and caregiver leave, life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts and employee wellness programs. In addition, you will have access to professional development opportunities, including development funding, tuition discounts, career development, and training opportunities. You will also have access to Wilder's inclusion, diversity and equity (WIDE) council, employee resource groups, and other DEI development opportunities available to all employees. Eligible federal loans may also qualify for deferment through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
