*CAPTIVE INSURANCE ANALYST* _*This position is in the office in Atlanta, Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30.*_ Our client, MIJS Captive, a subsidiary of Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, LLP (MIJS), was founded in 2008 with a mission to revolutionize the captive management industry. MIJS is currently seeking an experienced *Captive Insurance Analyst* to join their team, specializing in single-parent captive insurance structures; as well as Sponsor Captive with Protected Cell Captives and a Special Purpose Captive utilizing Fronting and Reinsurance Carriers. The *Captive Insurance Analyst* will be responsible for supporting the management and administration of captive insurance companies. This role involves preparing and filing statutory reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience working under a captive manager or director and possess a thorough understanding of insurance filings and regulatory requirements. *The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Risk Management*, and be willing to be trained for the details of this role. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* *Statutory Reporting* * Prepare and file annual reports for captive insurance companies by April 15th, using the Excel workbook format for all captive companies except SPFC companies filing NAIC Statements. * Submit annual franchise tax filings by March 1st of the following year. * Calculate and file premium taxes by April 15th of the year the captive is licensed, ensuring compliance with tax caps and special conditions for captives with significant employment for 10-12 domestic captive domiciles. * Prepare and submit audited financial statements by June 30th annually, utilizing GAAP accounting for 10-12 domestic captive domiciles. *Regulatory Compliance* * Ensure timely and accurate completion of all regulatory filings across various states, adapting to state-specific requirements and deadlines. * Collaborate with CPAs and actuaries to prepare and review necessary documentation and reports. *Captive Management Support* * Assist in the application process for dividend approvals, captive closures, and new captive formations. * Maintain strong relationships with state regulators, acting as a liaison to facilitate compliance and address inquiries. *Client Relations* * Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing guidance on insurance company ownership, operations, and regulatory requirements. * Support the cultivation and maintenance of strong relationships with client partners and external service providers. *QUALIFICATIONS* * Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related degree. * 1+ years previous experience in captive insurance or a related industry, particularly under the guidance of a captive manager or director. * *Recent Risk Management graduates with no captive experience will be considered for this position.* * Strong understanding of insurance regulatory requirements and statutory filings. * Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with GAAP accounting principles. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. *COMPENSATION: *60k+ salary, based upon years' experience and qualifications; PTO; benefits; a friendly and team oriented work environment.
