Our Test Data Capabilities engineering team at Northwestern Mutual is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Engineering Shared Services team. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the developer experience by focusing on simplification, standardization, and automation. We are dedicated to solving problems at scale for the entire company - facilitating a smoother approach to building, operating, deploying, and maintaining applications for our engineering delivery teams. About the role As a Lead Technical Product Manager for Test Data Capabilities, you will be accountable for engaging internal customers in Application Development teams and understanding their problems while formulating solutions that enable our Product Delivery teams to be faster, more efficient, and turn out higher quality products that can be maintained effectively over time. This role will be engaged in efforts to provide enterprise capabilities including Data De-Identification, Synthetic Test Data Generation and more. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Lead voice of customer sessions in both small and large group forums to understand customer needs and problems Build strong relationships with enterprise partners Contribute to delivery roadmap for enterprise capabilities by prioritizing needs in alignment with company, technology and department strategies Contribute to planning for the organization including yearly, program increment (PI), and sprint planning to influence prioritization of work and drive strong delivery outcomes through key results and metrics. Design, organize, and implement high impact solutions for use across teams within and outside their division. Establish, aggregate, and share enterprise standards and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 6-8 years of professional experience required in product owner, product management or engineering delivery role. Experience developing and leading solution delivery using agile methods including experience with test automation and varying test data solutions. Successfully functions with ambiguity. Recognized as the go-to expert within the division or department. Ability to synthesize information from many sources and make recommendations on solutions and next steps while balancing conflicting needs and priorities. Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail. Experience with data architecture, data engineering, and data integration patterns Experience with the various phases of software development with a focus on development and testing. Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture. Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions. #LI-Hybrid Compensation Range: Pay Range - Start: $110,040.00 Pay Range - End: $204,360.00 Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
