Overview: The Staff/PRN Physical Therapist provides specific physical therapy services aimed at assisting the patient in regaining an optimal level of ability in gross motor skills, muscular strength and function, mobility, the reduction of pain, and the improvement in the loss of skin/tissue integrity. The Staff/PRN Physical therapist provides individualized care based upon needs of the patient and family. Responsibilities: Education and Work Experience: ?Must possess a high school diploma or GED ?Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program ?Prefer acute care experience. License Requirements: ?Meet all requirements of The Maryland State Board of PT Examiners, and licensed by this regulatory agency with a PT license. Certification Requirements: ?Level C CPR certification for healthcare providers. Age Specific Care Provided For: ?Pediatrics; Adolescents; Adults; Geriatrics Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ?Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: ?Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel ?Microsoft Outlook ?Meditech (if applicable to position) ?Epic (if applicable to position) ?Performance Manager/NetLearning ?Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. ?Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. ?Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. ?Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. ?Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Other Requirements: ?Acute care rehab management: gait/transfer training, therapeutic exercise, soft tissue treatments, electro-therapeutic modalities, wound care, orthotic and prosthetic training and checks ?Must be able to type 30 WPM ?Must have clear understanding of medical/rehabilitation language and abbreviations.
