Director, SBDC & Associate Director, IEE The Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, within the Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, is seeking a qualified Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Director and Associate Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE). This role will be a key member of the IEE leadership team. The individual will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the SBDC and other responsibilities within the IEE. They will provide oversight and direct the implementation of the SBDC/IEE strategic direction in the University and collaborate with statewide programs of the PA SBDC network. This includes planning, coordinating, administering, marketing and evaluating programs, projects, client retention, strategic planning, processes, procedures, systems, standards, and/or service offerings; coordination and integration of activities between multiple service areas. Preferred experience includes but is not limited to: Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field Five years of management strongly preferred Must have SBDC/SBA/DCED knowledge and/or economic development experience Existing relationships with key PA stakeholders including but not limited to: SBDC, banking, lenders, accounting firms, other universities, professional associations, surrounding counties, chambers of commerce, legislators, federal agencies. Management and leadership (university and/or complex organizations) Ability to impact and work with diverse populations Programming and education development Experience in reporting and managing federal and state programs Proficient digital technology skills and ability to use the CRM to enter data and generate reports Ability to travel The successful candidate must be entrepreneurial coupled with significant knowledge of business and be able to engage business community at level required for IEE success. Ability to communicate vision is critical. Direct small business services consistent with ASBDC and PA SBDC requirements. Oversee all financial matters within the SBDC. Work with IEE Executive Director to develop and implement strategic directives. Develop and maintain relationships with business community at local, state, and federal levels. Essential Functions Proven entrepreneurial and business knowledge. Ability to work collaboratively. Excellent verbal, and written, and electronic communication skills. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Physical Effort Job is primarily sedentary but requires occasional travel throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
