We are currently in search of a Nonprofit Accountant for a Nonprofit Accounting Firm that specializes in outsourced accounting services for small to mid-level nonprofits. This is a Full-Time, Hybrid positionlocated in North Haledon, NJ with a salary of $55,000- $70,000. ORGANIZATION: Nonprofit Accounting Firm LOCATION: North Haledon, NJ- Hybrid (2x/week) POSITION TITLE: Accountant SCHEDULE: Full-Time DURATION: Permanent SALARY: $55,000- $70,000 Is This Your Dream Job? The Nonprofit Accountant supports the Accounting Manager in providing customized bookkeeping and overall accounting and financial management services to clients. Clients consist of small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations. Our Ideal Candidate: 2+ years experience in non-profit accounting/finance Familiarity with QuickBooks-online & Experience working in a client service environment Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Excellent organization and communication skills Bachelor's degree How You Will Spend Your Day: Process and/or manage payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable Ensure accounts receivable and accounts payable are current (less than 90 days) Reconcile bank and credit card statements Review and post-investment accounts Review all uncleared checks and deposits for items over 120 days Analyze and prepare financial statements monthly for the Accounting Manager's/Sr. Accounting Manager's review Manage annual audits and ensure all required schedules are completed timely Assist clients with the preparation of Form 990, 1099's, and other benefit, tax and regulatory schedules Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks on an as-needed basis We'd love to hear from you!
