Electrical Engineer With responsibility for multiple North American and European facility locations, this opportunity will involve troubleshooting project engineering & project management for all of our plants. The main focus will be for North American operations. Key Responsibilities: Improve facility safety systems Must have experience designing, testing, and commissioning, start up, reconditioning Predictive maintenance of protection & work with current equipment configurations Ability to Engineer new technologies Has extensively traveled to work with onsite engineers to help asses and recommend improvements with problem equipment Configured equipment into new and existing technologies Supervise and work with onsite engineers and mechanic's to assign work required to project cost estimation, work planning, scheduling, coordination, and reporting on findings Act as corporate resource for automation systems development and implementation Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who possess P.Eng license and at least 5 years of experience Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology 5+ years hands on experience working as an Electrical Engineer Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel extensively, up to 40% of the time Proficiency using AutoCAD, MS Office Suite including Project Proficient understanding Electrical Safety Code and its application in industrial wiring and power distribution Proficient working knowledge of PLC and HMI applications (including RSlinx, RSlogix5, 500, 5000, & Factory Talk View) Experienced in PLC and HMI systems design, programming, commissioning and start up including system hardware selection, I/O panels and subsystems layout and wiring. Work with different plants to overcome production problems and improve safety systems. Design, testing, commissioning, start-up, reconditioning, and predictive maintenance of protection and control systems. Engineering new technologies into existing equipment configurations. Act as a corporate resource for automation systems development and implementation. Supervise and assign work to team members and contractors as required. Project cost estimation, work planning, scheduling, coordination, and reporting. Excellent design, supervisory, project and manufacturing experience in industrial applications. Experienced with various motion controllers, servo systems and AC/DC drives. Experienced with various PLC networks, Industrial Networking, Control & Distribution Panels, Switchgears, MCC and Measuring & Control (Instrumentation) Excellent analytical, technical, problem-solving, research and teamwork skills Organizational skills - managing projects - both short and long term. Well versed in English. (written and verbal) Familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic machinery a plus. Must be willing and able to travel to sites across North America up to 40% of the time (all expenses paid for by employer) This opportunity offers a fantastic compensation package.
