Location: Cleveland, OH Salary: $75,000-$100,000 Title: Electrical Engineer Hybrid/Remote Aní‚ Electrical Engineerí‚ to perform entry level to intermediate aspects of engineering assignments, and otherwise extend and leverage the senior engineering staff. Required: BS in Electrical Engineering. AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency. 2 or more years of demonstrated experience with electricalí‚ í‚ design in the building and construction industry (experience determines compensation) Valid Ohio state driverí¢â‚¬â„¢s license required. EIT/PE license preferred but not a must have. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the accurate and efficient engineering and design of electrical systems. Performs design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work as required by assignment Reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers and architects and recommends necessary changes Researches code issues and works with city, state, and county officials Researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers Consistently applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices to all projects assigned. Prepares and completes engineering designs that are responsive to project and customer needs Employs appropriate engineering standards according to applicable codes as directed. Actively checks the accuracy of own work prior to forwarding to Engineer for review. Assists with the management of engineering projects as assigned. Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group Assists with the coordination and preparation of design details, plans, and drawings within assigned task areas with the objective of completing projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects Participates in conducting project site observations. Assists with gathering data required for the project, and neatly prepares all required logs, sketches and documentation in a timely manner. As required, serves as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams. Observes project progress on site. Assists with the management of the relationship with project contractors. Keeps abreast of engineering developments to recommend changes in program or design methods. Upon request, provides technical review of work product produced by any firm employee. Participates in the development of service line methodologies, and produces informative white papers outlining work processes. Participates meaningfully in all company meetings and training sessions. Keeps an accurate record of time and expenses on a daily basis. Maintains a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail programs in use in the office.
