Job Title : Construction Safety Manager Location : John Glenn Airport in Columbus, OH Duration : 5 years (Start 10/7) Opportunity for full-time W2 role Type : 1099 Contractor Compensation : Hourly Rate : $55/hr Completion Bonus : $150/month Pay : Weekly Schedule : Hours : 40 hours, M-F, 1st shift Project Scope : Safety oversight of a heavy civil contractor working on active runways at the John Glenn Airport in Columbus, OH Qualifications : Experience : 5+ years in construction safety management, experience with airport consturction if you do not have a CHST Certifications : Current OSHA 30 certification required. CHST if you do not have airport consturction safety experience Principal Duties & Responsibilities : Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations. Provide safety training as needed. Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices. Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence. Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications Skills : Excellent public speaking and communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. OSHA outreach training experience is a plus. Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information. Knowledge : Strong understanding of OSHA and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
