Position Summary The Procurement Supervisor will manage procurement and sourcing of equipment, tools, materials, and other services needed at the mine site. The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for providing general oversight of the supply chain needed to run the facility at optimal production levels. This requires ultimate familiarization with on-site inventory and collaboration with other department supervisors to forecast needs in a cyclical industry. The Procurement Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain with a dotted reporting line to the Plant Manager. Further, the Procurement Supervisor will oversee two sand plants with some travel required between Carrizo Springs, TX and Poteet, TX. This position may or may not have subordinates. This position will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations and practice safe operations at all times. Essential Functions Adhere to the Procurement Policy and Procurement Procedure Manual Source parts, materials, and services based on value, quality, and need-by date, per local plant requirements Establish positive relationships with all stakeholders Prepare quotes for goods and services Track controlled inventory levels via reports and place orders when necessary Manage Purchase Orders and provide regular updates to management Code and verify Purchase Orders using the appropriate system. Create, review, submit and verify all purchase orders for services. At plants without warehouse services, create, review, submit and verify all purchase orders for parts. Assist in resolving vendor and/or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers Ensure vendors are properly onboarded before visiting the plant Collect new vendor information as needed for set up Maintain MSHA log information for onsite contractors Use of the Procurement credit card within the limits of the Procurement Policy. Reconciliation and approvals completed timely Complete a request for quote and 3 bids and a buy when using non-preferred vendors or for project work Perform duties safely and responsibly while observing all rules of site safety; Must follow all MSHA safety guidelines. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Prior experience in purchasing/procurement role in a mining, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics. Preferably experience with industrial parts and services Willingness to take directions from management and fulfill the requirements Ability to make decision and support the decision with logic and rationale Understand operations is the customer Ability to prioritize requests in an effective manner Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment Ability to react to change productively and oversee all other duties/essential tasks as assigned. Keen sense of when to appropriately elevate issues/concerns Extreme sense of professionalism and exhibit competency for best practices in business Possess excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Ability to complete written documentation and records Ability to maintain strong working relationships with clients, team members, and vendors Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel Power Point) Willingness to be trained on company specific software Ability to perform basic mathematical equations Excellent written and verbal communication skills; positive language and active listening Must have a team player attitude with high-level of self-motivation requiring minimal supervision. May require occasional travel between Carrizo Springs and Poteet, TX Must be authorized to work in the US and be at least 18 years of age Safety Sensitivity This classification is a "safety sensitive" position as defined by the Mine Safety and Health Administration drug and alcohol testing regulations, the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act and/or Oklahoma Medical Marijuana laws.
