Overview Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) is seeking a Director of Microsoft Applications to lead our efforts in enhancing and expanding the use of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams across the organization. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption and optimal utilization of these platforms, aligning with our strategic goals to enhance operational efficiency and collaboration and providing the basis for a "modern workplace" at PhRMA. The Director will: Oversee the administration and enhancement of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams, ensuring these platforms meet organizational needs and performance standards. Provide strategic input on the deployment and integration of Microsoft technologies, influencing the broader IT strategy in collaboration with the CIO. Integrate with other tools, e.g., CRM, Zoom. Develop and facilitate informal training sessions to promote technology adoption and increase staff proficiency in using Microsoft tools. Nurture strong working relationships within IT and across departments to understand and address user needs, thereby enhancing overall productivity. Champion the use of Microsoft automation tools like Power Automate and Logic Apps to streamline organizational processes. Monitor technology implementation effectiveness through user engagement and satisfaction metrics, driving continuous improvement. PhRMA operates a mixed Windows and Mac workstation environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Other success factors include a strong team and collaborative focus, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues. Professional Experience / Requirements Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field. Proven experience in administering and developing Microsoft 365 environments, with a strong emphasis on SharePoint and Teams as drivers of collaborative work. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft automation tools, including Power Automate and Logic Apps. Strong leadership and training capabilities, with experience managing direct reports and facilitating team development. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at interacting with both technical and non-technical staff. Strategic thinker with a proven track record of implementing technology solutions that align with business goals. Minimum five years' experience in a similar leadership role within IT, focusing on innovation and technology adoption. Experience in project management, change management, and driving technology adoption across diverse organizations. Potential Salary $110,500 - $144,305 per annum. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
