Position Purpose: This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models, supporting M&A transactions, conducting in-depth analysis, and providing actionable insights to support key decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, advanced modeling skills, and a proven track record of delivering impactful financial analysis in a complex and fast-paced environment. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support long term strategic planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making across various business units and functions. Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions within the water industry. Conduct rigorous sensitivity analysis, simulations, and stress testing to assess the potential impact of various internal and external factors on financial performance and outcomes. Evaluate and optimize capital allocation strategies, investment opportunities, and resource allocation decisions through detailed financial modeling and analysis. Partner closely with senior leaders, finance executives, and cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, gather relevant data, and develop comprehensive financial forecasts and projections. Provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on financial analysis findings, highlighting risks, opportunities, and areas for optimization to drive business performance and value creation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop executive-level presentations and strategic planning documents that effectively communicate complex financial concepts and insights. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging best practices in financial modeling and analysis, and proactively incorporate relevant insights into decision-making processes. Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, strategic planning within the water utility industry, consulting firms serving water utilities, or related sectors. Strong understanding of water utility operations, regulatory frameworks, revenue requirements, and capital financing mechanisms. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data, analyze financial statements, and develop actionable insights. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts and analysis to internal stakeholders. Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships.
