The Role: Chromalox, a division of Electric Thermal Solutions, provides advanced thermal management solutions. Our innovative electric thermal technologies are designed to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability across various industries. The Director of FP&A will hold a key position in steering the financial strategy and performance of Chromalox and Electric Thermal Solutions. Additionally, this person will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes, a crucial responsibility that supports strategic decision-making and ensures the financial health of the business unit. Your Responsibilities: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, reporting, and quarterly pacing process, ensuring alignment with and contributing to the Spirax Corporate processes. Coordinate with Senior Leadership the preparation of consolidated Quarterly Business Review presentations. Drive the monthly budget versus actual analysis and actual versus prior year and other benchmark data, including providing variance analysis for management reviews. Play a critical role in implementing and maturing financial processes and promoting financial discipline and education across the organization. Manage the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, and modeling tools - Power BI, Cognos, IBM TM1, and Excel. Drive requirements for enhancements of the financial planning and business intelligence system. Partner with IT to drive standardized and automated reporting, adhering to requirements and driving better visibility across IT function Evolve and refine the business metrics and reporting, providing insightful information to leadership. Design dashboards to provide transparency on important KPIs. Perform value-added ad-hoc analyses that help drive decision-making. Coach, mentor, and develop team, including overseas finance leaders, to drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics Requirements: At least 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least five years in a leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Proven experience in engineering and/or business-to-business industries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including Excel and Hyperion-based financial reporting systems. Experience interacting with overseas corporate parents and familiarity with IFRS reporting. Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing teams both locally and internationally. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High level of integrity and professionalism. Keen attention to detail and the ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact. Willingness to dig into details and analyze variances and trends. Experience in the manufacturing or technology sectors is a plus.
