Serving customers in the Upper Midwest, NexGen manufactures truss systems and wall panels from locations in Minnesota and South Dakota as Truss Pros and Precision Wall Systems and distributes building materials as Minnesota Building Pros.A Brief OverviewDirects the work of Assemblers who assemble truss components. This position is a working role but is also responsible for leading a team who oversees the assembly process in an efficient manner.Pay Range: $21.00 - $22.00hourWhat you will doLay out truss supplies and materials on carts or floor and stock plates for component set-up.Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.Load and band finished materials on cartspallets inside andor outside.Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.Read shop drawings to identify plate sizes, plate gauges, girder truss nailing and bolt patterns.Read shop drawings to understand stacking order when required.Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follows all safety procedures; maintain a safe ply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.Assist in maintaining an organized work environment which may include emptying trash receptacles and keeping all baysstaging areas clean and organized.Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.Monitor inventory as required by location management.Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.Participate in and complete assigned trainings.Criteria for Lead:Working role that leads fewer than 10 associatesDirect the work of the team - assign duties & tasksEducation QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.Experience QualificationsPrior carpentry experience preferred.4-6 years of industry experience truss assembly required.Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.Ability to operate a crane.Excellent teamwork & customer relationships.Understand all truss building terminology.Understand importance of camber and why it is used.Understand build tolerances.Use and navigate shop floor build software.NexGen, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
