Assistant Station Manager Job ID # of Openings 1 Category Ground Operations City Franklin Park State IL Company Atlas Air, Inc Employment Type (Portal Display) Regular Full-Time Overview Achieve all ground operations goals as they relate to performance, safety, service and regulatory compliance. Monitor Station operations and coordinate operational tasks with Company, customer and vendor representatives to achieve safe and timely arrival/departure procedures. Improve Atlas Air's quality of service and customer satisfaction by assisting with the station management and ongoing operations to ensure all aircraft movements, terminal activity, ramp handling, loading/unloading of aircraft and cargo handling meet all company and governmental requirements and safety regulations with all station operations. Responsibilities Achieve all ground operations and corporate goals as related to performance, safety, service, and regulatory compliance. Oversee and manage compliance of established operational procedures and guidelines designed to provide a safe work environment. Strives to achieve station on-time performance goals. Monitor staff training requirements and ensure all staff training is current Partner with Station Manager in achieving operational and administrative objectives Establish safety goals and initiatives Ensures airport SIDA rules and policies are complied with. Act as communication conduit on behalf of the company to resolve any problems and respond to special requests. Assist with oversight on flight specific requirements. Manage PPE and aircraft inventory Write and submit reports as directed Respond to staff and customers' questions, problems, requests and/or complaints Partner with Station Manager on meeting with customers and vendors on a regular basis to discuss potential problem areas and the entire scope of the Company Collaborate with the Station Manager in station related problems arising from arising from vendor or service providers. May assist the Station Manager in attending meetings with the airport authority, regulatory bodies and other airport stakeholders as requested Supports the Station Manager in driving station performance and regulatory compliance through effective oversight and engagement. Perform additional duties delegated by the Station Manager Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Minimum 4 years of experience in passenger and/or cargo operations including customer service and supervisory experience required. Experience Must be qualified in all areas of Passenger and/or Cargo operations. Special Demand: Must have the ability to understand and use Microsoft office software, specifically in database, spreadsheets and word processing Must be able to motivate and lead staff through a project from concept to completion in a fast pace time critical environment Must be able to perform multiple tasks and be able to complete difficult matrices to ensure all tasks are followed through from start to finish Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to perform all aspects of Ground and Cargo Ops including Loadmaster, handling hazardous materials, de-icing, fueling, catering, security, etc. Skills: Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Willingness to work varied hours and holidays. Ability to meet the demands of varied responsibilities and deadlines. Outstanding customer service skills. Computer skills working with Microsoft Office or comparable software. Applicants are required to successfully pass company initial and annual recurrent training in areas of load planning, Weight & Balance, and aircraft handling Salary Range: $64,500- $87,500 Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
