ABOUT ROMULUS: Romulus Restaurant Group dba IHOP is a leading name in the restaurant industry, known for our commitment to excellence and exceptional service. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team and ensure the smooth processing of payroll for our 5000 employees across 11 states. POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Payroll Administrator, under the direction of the Payroll Manager, you will be processing multi-state payroll on a weekly basis, handling taxes, employee deductions, and remitting payments to state and federal agencies. Your role performs a variety of confidential duties and is crucial in maintaining the accuracy and compliance of our payroll processes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Process payroll for employees on a weekly basis. - Manage and balance check information including but not limited to; garnishments, taxes and deductions. - Remit payments to state agencies and handle related tax reporting. - Assist in maintaining and updating employee payroll records. - Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations. - Address payroll-related inquiries from HR and resolve any discrepancies. - Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll operations. QUALIFICATIONS: - Proven experience in payroll processing is preferred. - Knowledge of payroll software (Sage) and systems. - Familiarity with state and federal payroll regulations. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Ability to work confidentially and use discretion. SALARY: Competitive, based on experience WORKING CONDITIONS: ENVIRONMENT: Office environment; flexible hours PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist, and hearing and speaking to communicate and provide information to others.
