POSITION SUMMARY A Sr. Process Engineer will provide process development and engineering design expertise for mining and mineral projects. Use advance knowledge and specialized training to develop systems and unit operations in accordance with contractual obligations and relevant codes and standards. Coordination with the Discipline Leads, Principals, Project Manager and Engineering Manager is necessary to achieve these requirements. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Constructs and may pursue alternative paths towards a solution. Exercises judgment in selecting method, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results consistent with broadly defined policies and practices. Problem/Task resolution timeframe: Inclusive of shorter timeframes, but typically six to twelve months or more to resolve. Work is accomplished with limited direction. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Frequently inter-organizational and outside customer/vendor contacts. Part of a team who represents the organization. Monitors activities and communicates information across the organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Please note: The job descriptions may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, etc. of the job; duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to - Sr. Process Engineer IV Performing complex design, computations, and evaluations associated with oil and gas, distribution and planning projects. Performing project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports. Determines data collection methods to be employed in projects and surveys. Sr. Process Engineer III Identifies and analyzes hazardous materials and potential sources of environmental concerns to determine their effects. Prepares graphs, charts, and generates reports from synthesized data for project managers. Analyzes data to assess pollution/environmental problems, establish standards, and develop approaches for control of potential hazards. Sr. Process Engineer II Upgrades, designs, configures, maintains and monitors related equipment and performance. Develops project scopes, budgets and ensures projects meet budget. Prepares and presents documents for clients and bids. Sr. Process Engineer I Serves as a technical specialist in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods in assigned areas. Understands process hazard lifecycle and functional safety. Prepares and present documents for clients and bids. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PER JOB LEVEL Sr. Process Engineer IV - Bachelor's Degree/Continuing Education; PE license; ten (10) years experience. Sr. Process Engineer III - Bachelor's Degree/Continuing Education; PE license; twelve (12) years experience. Sr. Process Engineer II - Bachelor's Degree/Continuing Education; PE license; fourteen (14) years experience. Sr. Process Engineer I - Bachelor's Degree/Continuing Education; PE license; fifteen (15) years experience.
