Responsibilities: Our Registered Nurses in the NICU independently perform clinical care to infant patients. Working with a dedicated team, the Registered Nurse provides evidence-based, high quality care to critically ill newborns and serves as a resource for other team members. Our 26 bed, Level III NICU is a part of the Family Childbirth and Childrens Center at Mercy. Qualifications: Diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelors degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment) Registered Nurse license to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board One - two years of clinical nursing experience is strongly preferred; new graduates with focused practicum or technician experience in NICU will be considered.
