Job Description Title: Mechanical Engineer $$$$: 80,000-92,000k Type of Co: Railroad Equipment Manufacturing Type of Role: Direct Hire We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for one of our valued clients, a rapidly growing manufacturer of railroad equipment. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate on New Product Development and/or updates to existing products under the guidance of the project manager Conduct design validation through calculations, analysis, prototyping, and testing Support production by updating and completing engineering documentation, including assembly instructions Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks simulation software to evaluate product performance (preferred) Participate in project team meetings, design reviews, and effectively communicate design concepts to peers and cross-functional teams Ensure the accuracy of engineering drawings, documentation, and models, adhering to project plans and design specifications Estimate task durations and resource needs for design and modeling tasks, contributing to project schedules and budgets, and meeting critical deadlines Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Proficiency in SolidWorks (required) 3+ years of relevant design experience, preferably in hydraulics experience Meet Your Recruiter Erik Butzen Technical Recruiter Erik Butzen is a skilled and compassionate Senior Recruiter passionate about empowering individuals to advance in their careers.
