Description An ultra-premium, small production winery nestled in the picturesque San Pasqual Valley, located just 30 minutes from San Diego, between Interstate 15 and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The tasting room and patio overlooks the 70-acre estate. Our tree lined family friendly picnic area features grassy knolls and picnic tables. Orfila produces critically acclaimed wines using Italian and French varietals, including those from the Rhí´ne Valley, Burgundy and Bordeaux. We source our grapes from both the estate and select vineyards from Sonoma, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara Counties. Our winemaker, Andrew Wisniewski, carries on our tradition of making award-winning wines in San Diego County. We offer paid holiday and vacation time off, medical benefits and company discounts! We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team at Orfila as a Line Cook. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your primary duties include cooking and plating dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards, ensuring food is prepared in a timely manner, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. You will also provide support as needed, including bar backing and assisting the kitchen and tasting room. RESPONSIBILITES: Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils. Ability to listen and communicate effectively. SERV Safe Certified. Strong attention to detail. Proven working experience as a cook. Possess strong cooking skills, particularly in the sauté method. Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and meal plans. Preparing sauces, soups, and other food items using standard recipes and methods. Preparing special dishes or meals for guests with special dietary needs or restrictions. Keeping a clean work environment. Sauté and Grill experience required. Support the tasting room with any kitchen-related tasks or needs. Willingness to provide support in bar backing and other areas as required.
