West Coast Division Controller Department: Finance Employment Type: Full Time Location: Los Angeles Reporting To: Vice President of Finance Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 / year Description Cadogan Tate (CT) is internationally recognized as a market leader in fine art logistics (i.e. moving and storage) with full service operations across the USA (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, Dallas and Aspen), London and Paris. Role Summary To contribute to the achievement of the Cadogan Tate Group's business plan objectives and the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization by: •Preparation, analysis & interpretation of monthly management and financial accounts of several US subsidiaries to senior management. •Supporting the Group Financial Controller / Group CFO by providing effective and efficient management accounts and financial information. •Working with the west coast management team to maximize cash flow and operating margins. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities •Monthly financial reporting and analysis (revenue and job margin variance analysis). •Financial forecasting and budgets. •Monthly general ledger accruals . •Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. •Ensure all intercompany accounts between CT entities are balanced monthly. •Monthly reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers (e.g. AP & AR) to the general ledger. •Daily cash reconciliations. •Communicate with local General Managers on their performance levels and provide timely and comprehensive updates on predicted month end EBITDA. •Cashflow management and local bank relationships. •Reconcile & analyze biweekly payroll data. •Manage and support team members. •Tax compliance and reporting. •Assist with year-end audit questions •Assist with ad hoc project requests from local team or head office. Key Competencies •Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a master's degree preferred. •CPA is preferred but not required. •Good Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills to communicate and present financial information clearly. •10+ years of experience in accounting and finance. •Demonstrable experience of successfully working in a large group with all the stakeholder, tax, legal and financial complexity. •Experience of working in a PE portfolio company and delivering "best in class" is desirable.
