*FULL RELOCATION PACKAGES ARE OFFERED FOR THIS POSITION*LHH is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located near Columbus, IN. In this role, you will lead projects relating to PLCs, automation, robotics, HMIs, continuous improvement, and more. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $115,000-122,000 per year plus quarterly and annual bonuses and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.***H1B Sponsorship is not available for this position***RESPONSIBILITIESIdentify and resolve process operating problems and machine faults, investigate equipment failures, draft follow-up action reports, and share technical assistance with workers on the production floorTroubleshoot PLC-based machinery on the production floor and conduct appropriate follow up on resolutionsConduct root cause analysis of equipment-related issuesContribute to the design, improvement, and implementation of automation throughout the manufacturing facilityUpgrade obsolete controls and programming on existing equipmentIdentify and repair system issues, sensors, and equipmentProvide training and coaching to other engineers and staff members regarding PLCs, Ladder Logic, automation, and the implementation of new SOPsProgram and maintain HMI at each production centercellContribute to the development of the organization's preventative maintenance and continuous improvement strategies and implement tools and methodologies and accelerate deliverables and improve outputCoordinate with engineering and production personnel to develop a shared vision for the completion of daily engineering tasks and then report on those activitiesEnsure that all safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completedHandle additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Management TeamQUALIFICATIONSBachelor Degree in Engineering is required (non-negotiable)Minimum of 5+ years of controls andor automation engineering experience within a manufacturing environment is requiredMust have the ability to program Allen Bradley PLCs (non-negotiable)Must have experience designing and implementing new automation within a manufacturing facilityMust have experience upgrading obsolete controls and programming Must have experience leading trainingcoaching sessions regarding PLCs, Ladder Logic, automation, andor the implementation of new SOPsMust possess the ability to read blueprints and have experience with design systemsMust possess strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skillsMust be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to succeed with little supervisionMust possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team***H1B Sponsorship is not available for this position***If you or someone in your network fit this profile and would like to apply for this Senior Controls Engineer position near Columbus, IN then please submit your application alongside your resume using the link in this posting.Equal Opportunity EmployerVeteransDisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
